Are you buying the chair you really need?

When buying a task chair, make sure your chair has the features you need.

Fabric Upholstery vs. Mesh

A padded fabric upholstery chair is a staple in offices around the world. Comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and available in a variety of colours, fabric upholstery can be counted on in almost any situation.  Mesh fabric is more breathable than regular fabric, allowing air to circulate and keeping your body stay cool when seated for prolonged periods of time.  Mesh fabric is durable, attractive and provides excellent support.

Ergonomic Adjustments

Tilt Lock – Tilt lock allows the user to recline the chair from front to back and then lock it into a set angle.

Tension Adjustment – This feature increases or reduces the resistance in the backrest.

Adjustable Seat Height – Appropriate seat height is crucial to ensuring proper blood circulation in the legs.

Adjustable Seat Back – An adjustable seat back ensures that the user receives lumbar support where he or she needs it most.

Adjustable Seat Depth – A seat that does not fit properly reduces blood flow to the legs.  An adjustable seat depth allows users to move the seat forward or back, creating a comfortable place to sit.

Adjustable Arms – Arms that adjust in width, depth and/or height accommodate users of all shapes and sizes.  Improperly adjusted armrests can cause shoulder and back pain.
