When Dalhousie University set out to create the new Oulton-Stanish Centre, the vision extended far beyond a traditional arena facility. Designed as a dynamic hub for athletics, wellness, and community connection, the 60,000-square-foot facility brings together students, faculty, staff, athletes, and the broader Halifax community within a modern, multifunctional environment.

Office Interiors furnished the gathering and shared spaces throughout the facility with Haworth seating and table solutions that support the Oulton-Stanish Centre’s modern, multifunctional environment.

Since the shared spaces within the Oulton-Stanish Centre experience constant use, the furniture needed to balance durability, comfort, cleanability, and flexibility while complementing the facility’s modern aesthetic.

Lounge and gathering areas throughout the facility feature Haworth Maari chairs selected for their cleanable surfaces, contemporary design, and practical functionality. The bleach-cleanable plastic shell and durable base support high-traffic use, while the one-piece moulded shell with a wide back provides comfortable everyday seating.

Haworth Jive tables were used throughout the seating areas. The durable laminate tops resist scratches, stains, and moisture, making them well suited for everyday student and community use.

Bar-height Haworth Maari stools provide additional seating in rinkside gathering areas overlooking the ice surface.
