‘Twas the week before Christmas

It’s that time of year again, when the best of intentions around ‘stuff that must get done at the office before Christmas’ end up getting replaced by last minute shopping and, most importantly, special time spent with loved ones. As it should be.

Additionally, this holiday season I’ve been working with the Salvation Army in an effort to raise some much needed cash for their stocking stuffer campaign. And, if you’d like to help out, it would be greatly appreciated and it benefits an exceptionally worthwhile cause.

I wanted to mention that during many of the office Christmas parties I’ve attended over the past number of weeks, when the talk turned to business it inevitably turned to the environment and, specifically, corporate environmental responsibility. It is a topic on the minds of a lot of people these days, and rightly so. In the event that you happen to use part of the holiday season to do a little reading, it is worth checking out William McDonough’s & Michael Braungart’s Cradle to Cradle. It will likely change the way you think about environmental sustainability and it might just spark some ideas for 2008.

Lastly, I simply want to wish you and yours a very happy holiday season and best wishes for a prosperous 2008. See you in the New Year!
